Outreach

In 2015, the Memorial Fund adopted a new mission to achieve equity in education by working with those affected and inspiring all to end racism and poverty. Therefore, the foundation is committed to working in closer proximity to the people most affected by racism and poverty, most of whom live in communities with high rates of poverty and concentrations of people of color. We believe that effective equity work requires that funders build meaningful relationships with these communities and center the wisdom of the people most negatively impacted by racism and poverty.
