Connecticut Center for School Change
The Connecticut Center for School Change (the “Center”) is a statewide, intermediary, non-profit organization that works with Connecticut’s school districts to increase student achievement. The Center helps districts align their infrastructure, human resource and financial systems, and curriculum and assessment towards instructional improvement. The Center believes school improvement is realizable through strong leadership, hard work, organizational focus and program coherence. The Center was established in 1994 by the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund and became an independent 501(c)(3) organization in January, 1999.Pursuant to its strategic plan, the Center promotes leadership development for all members of the education community and helps school systems to refocus and redirect human, financial and material resources towards instructional improvement priorities. The Center provides grants, technical assistance and coaching, leadership development programs, conferences and seminars, and research on public policy issues connected to the improvement of teaching and learning.
