The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund works collaboratively to improve education for Connecticut's children. The Memorial Fund provides grants, technical assistance, and a forum for information-sharing across the state to:

support educational change in schools. |

inform public debate through policy research and advocacy. |

strengthen the involvement of parents and the community in education. |
The largest single investment of the Memorial Fund to date has been the Children First Initiative, now a seven-year commitment totaling over $7 million. This publication shares the lessons being learned by the participating communities with others interested in engaging communities in improving the lives of young children. |
